The Lying Game is the first book I've read by Ruth Ware, but it won't be the last. Published inthis happened to appear on my building's library shelves, so I jumped on it. I'm glad I had a chance to learn more about this author, and if you /5.

The entire book is centered around playing a game that involves lying, but this backstory is barely explored. So while the reader is supposed to engage in the story of The Lying Game, there isn't enough story to engage in. The four main characters have supposedly cemented a strong friendship during their time at Salten House, but they were only 4/5(K).

The Dying Game was advertised as a combination of Orwell’s and Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None with a dash of The Hunger Games thrown into the mix.
